Job Title: Lead Process Data Analyst

Thames Water Utilities Limited is seeking a highly skilled Lead Process Data Analyst to join our Business Improvement team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in driving operational efficiency and reducing energy usage across our wastewater treatment operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain data analysis tools to optimize each step in the wastewater treatment process, including primary treatment, activated sludge treatment, anaerobic sludge digestion, biogas production, and sludge dewatering.
  • Collaborate with operational teams and stakeholders to share performance and risk insights, ensuring consistent and efficient delivery of process performance commitments.
  • Operate, maintain, and deploy operational performance reports to deliver accurate and trusted insights, with appropriate commentary.
  • Own regulatory reports and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Utilize data insight and operational knowledge to create interventions for operational delivery teams, focusing on enhancing asset operation and/or risk.
  • Maintain existing data management processes, monitoring key data quality metrics, and resolving process failures or data quality issues with company-wide functional experts and data engineers.
Requirements:
  • Strong analytical background, including Excel, VBA, MS Access, SQL, and Power BI.
  • Several years of relevant business or technical experience.
  • Excellent IT skills, including industry-specific tools and systems, as well as MS Office.
  • Proven record of data handling, analysis, and reporting, with some experience in the wastewater and sludge industry.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
