Fortem Solutions is seeking an experienced Assistant Highways Site Manager to lead our construction projects and teams. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and planning sub-contract labor, ensuring the successful delivery of refurbishment programs.
Key Responsibilities- Review and ensure compliance with relevant standards and certifications.
- Record and report inspections accurately and efficiently.
- Develop and issue clear, concise, and effective work instructions to trades and subcontractors.
- Enforce health and safety procedures and policies.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and quality checks.
- Manage and maintain welfare facilities on site.
- Proven experience as an Assistant Site Manager in construction projects.
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical capabilities.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
- CSCS Card and full UK driving license.
- Experience in social housing repairs and maintenance.
- Understanding of job costing and budgeting.
- SMSTS certification and knowledge of EWI/external cladding replacement.
- Scaffold Inspection and PASMA training.
