Job Title: Lead Risk Analyst

Aspire Data Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Lead Risk Analyst to join our client's GFM-Risk Fraud Analytics team in Northampton. This is a challenging role that requires a strong analytical mindset and the ability to work with large datasets to identify and mitigate fraud risks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Score and Rule Performance Management: Ensure the optimal performance of fraud detection tools, minimizing false positives and meeting key performance indicators such as alert volume SLAs, victims of fraud, and fraud losses.
  • Fraud Detection and Prevention: Design, develop, and deploy analysis and monitoring to prevent and detect fraud, responding to emerging trends and attacks.
  • Fraud Systems and Data Expertise: Provide subject-matter expertise in the evaluation and development of new fraud systems and tools, ensuring their optimal implementation.
  • Predictive Analytics and Models: Support the delivery of predictive analytics and models to develop new fraud management solutions and improve fraud control strategies.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Assist stakeholders in articulating their fraud system strategy requirements and queries, providing guidance and challenge where necessary.
  • Vendor Management: Ensure that vendor-managed services, such as Fair Isaac and Experian, are optimized and meet Barclays standards or SLA.
Requirements:
  • Education: Degree or equivalent in statistics, mathematics, operational research, or a related area, or significant relevant experience.
  • Technical Skills: Working knowledge of SAS/SQL and experience working in a data-intensive environment.
  • Analytical Skills: Track record of performing data analysis and building predictive models using a standard statistical package such as SAS.
