Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) operator to join our team as a 7.5 Tonne Collections and Delivery Driver. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring the safe and timely transportation of goods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a 7.5 tonne HGV in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Collect and deliver parcels and packages to customers, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer queries and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Load and unload parcels and packages, using manual handling equipment as required.
  • Conduct regular vehicle checks and report any defects or issues to the maintenance team.

Requirements

  • Valid C1 licence, DQC, and CPC accreditation.
  • 12 months experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of HGV operations and customer service principles.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical fitness to perform manual handling tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
