Job Title: KS2 Teaching Assistant in Salford

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at GSL Education. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting teachers and students in KS2, working closely with our experienced educators to provide targeted interventions and ensure each child has access to the curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist students in their learning, providing individualized support and guidance
  • Work closely with teachers to develop and implement lesson plans, ensuring a smooth and effective learning environment
  • Provide targeted interventions to support students with Behaviour needs, promoting positive behavior and social skills
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and develop a comprehensive understanding of student needs

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with Behaviour needs in a school setting is desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with teachers, students, and parents
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations, with a patient and empathetic approach to supporting students
  • Up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years
  • Right to work in the UK and DBS registered to the update service or willingness to apply for one with GSL Education
