As an Import Coordinator, you will play a pivotal part in developing and executing import strategies, ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of goods, and building strong, lasting relationships with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute import strategies to optimise logistics efficiency.
- Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers for timely deliveries.
- Manage import documentation and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Secure competitive freight forwarding contracts to gain favourable terms.
- Monitor shipment schedules and proactively address any issues that arise.
- Evaluate and select transportation methods based on cost, speed, and reliability.
- Regularly communicate with internal teams and external partners, including the external sales team, customer service department, and merchants.
- Report on KPIs and personal objectives monthly.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of import processes for Europe and India.
- Proven relationships with freight forwarders and customs brokers.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
