GE Aviation is seeking an experienced Program Manager to join the Military Portfolio team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of a number of product redesign projects, ensuring satisfaction of customer and business objectives tied to the assigned projects.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Project Team: Ensure that contracted commitments are adequately supported, and the project team is working towards the agreed-upon goals.
- Ensure Toll Gate Reviews: Complete Toll Gate reviews to the highest standard, ensuring that all necessary steps are taken to ensure project success.
- Support Project Bids: Support the Project Bids from TG 0, managing both business and customer expectations.
- Accountable for Project Delivery: Accountable for the successful delivery of the project(s), delivering all contract performance-related activities tied to customer(s) and program(s).
- Interface with Customer and Suppliers: Perform as an interface between the customer, key suppliers, and the internal business team.
- Drive Performance: Drive performance, including execution of project milestones, On-Time Delivery of all associated items, and be the point of contact for our customer. Remove barriers to execution.
- Lead Production Readiness Assessments: Lead requested Production Readiness Assessments, ensuring that the wider cross-functional teams understand the accountability required during such reviews.
- Assure Timely Resolution of Issues: Assure timely resolution of issues, keep the customer advised of the progress of the project, and negotiate changes, variations, and solutions to issues.
- Strengthen Relationships: Strengthen the relationship with the Sustaining Engineering and Supply Chain team to resolve issues, collaborate to improve product performance.
- Manage Financial and Technical Metrics: Responsible for financial & technical metrics specific to contracts, including management of the Level of Effort and associated NRE budgets.
- Support Financial Planning: Support development of financial plans, including S&OP, Growth Play Book (Budget), S2, and Operating Plan.
- Drive Safety and Compliance: Drive safety and compliance in all that we do.
- Manage Project Alignment: Manage the project(s) inline with the Platform Strategy.
- Build Customer Relationships: Build a long-term relationship with the customer, understand the business structure, key stakeholders, decision makers, and customer strategy.
- Contribute to Market and Product Strategy: Help define our market and product strategy through relationship with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Contribute to Product/Program Strategies: Contribute to product/program strategies, technical roadmaps, risks, and recommendations.
- Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university/college and/or equivalent demonstrated experience to manage significant delivery commitments to critical customers, ideally in an aviation equipment environment or similar highly regulated business sector.
- Proven Ability to Manage Customer Relationships: Proven ability to manage significant customer relationships, expectations, and the necessary contractual requirements.
