We are working with a leading plastic manufacturing company to recruit an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the success of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general maintenance and installation of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Respond to breakdowns and conduct fault-finding activities to minimize downtime and ensure prompt resolution.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to develop and implement continuous improvement projects, driving excellence and innovation within the organization.
  • Assist in the development and completion of Predictive Maintenance (PPM) schedules to ensure proactive maintenance and reduce the risk of equipment failure.
  • Liaise with other departments, including production and quality, to ensure seamless communication and coordination regarding breakdowns and changes.
  • Work effectively within a team environment, promoting a culture of collaboration and mutual support.

Requirements:

  • Hold a Level 3 or above qualification in Electrical Engineering (City and Guilds or NVQ-based).
  • Possess sound mechanical engineering knowledge and experience, with a strong understanding of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Be willing to work shifts, including nights and weekends, to meet the needs of the business.
  • Have experience in fault-finding and troubleshooting, with a strong analytical mindset.
  • Ideally, possess manufacturing experience from an engineering perspective, with a strong understanding of production processes and equipment.
  • Have experience working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and other industrial control systems.
