About the Role

Westview Playgroup is seeking a dedicated and experienced Manager to join our vibrant nursery on a full-time basis. As the Nursery Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enrich children's lives by developing and delivering outstanding educational programs.
  • Ensure all aspects of children's safety and well-being are met.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the nursery, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for children.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the nursery's educational programs and services.
  • Lead and manage a team of nursery staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work culture.
  • Monitor and evaluate staff performance, providing guidance, training, and professional development opportunities.
  • Manage nursery budgets, resources, and supplies efficiently to optimize operational effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain high standards of care and education.
  • Act as an ambassador for the setting, building and maintaining strong relationships with parents, caregivers, and the local community.

Requirements

  • A recognised qualification in Early Years Education (e.g., Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within an early years setting, with a strong track record of managing a team and delivering high-quality childcare.
  • In-depth understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and other relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of child protection and safeguarding procedures.
  • Thorough understanding of health and safety requirements in a childcare setting.
  • Basic financial management skills, with the ability to manage budgets and resources efficiently.
