Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate design packages for electrical systems and components, including transformers, motors, generators, and switchgear
  • Develop the Project Design Basis Document according to project specifications
  • Create comprehensive project load lists
  • Generate technical reports and specifications for electrical equipment
  • Support engineering, procurement, and construction activities during the design phase
  • Collaborate with project managers to define the Electrical Engineering scope
  • Analyze major equipment selections within design packages
  • Address technical and site inquiries
  • Ensure project execution aligns with industry standards
  • Monitor contractor performance and work quality
  • Verify contractor designs comply with client standards and regulations
  • Assist in evaluating Material Requisitions and Technical Bid Evaluations
  • Review Change Orders for compliance and budget alignment
  • Work closely with engineering teams to ensure health, safety, and environmental integrity
  • Provide technical assurance for electrical discipline deliverables
  • Propose enhancements for installations and existing standards
  • Possess a strong understanding of Power System Automation
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Certification as a professional engineer is preferred
  • Significant experience in design, engineering, and construction
  • Familiarity with NEC, IEEE/ANSI, IEC, and other international electrical standards
  • Proficient in analogue and digital control systems, including DCS, PLC, and SCADA
  • Strong command of the English language for technical analysis and presentations
  • Extensive experience in a senior engineering role
  • Experience managing large-scale projects
  • Proficient in Electrical Transient Analysis Program (ETAP) or similar software
