Production Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Manager to lead our multi-discipline production team. The successful candidate will have a strong engineering background and excellent leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Team Leadership: Manage and motivate a diverse team of production staff, setting clear goals and objectives.
- Production Planning: Oversee the daily operations of CNC engraving, machining, and screen printing processes, ensuring high-quality output and efficiency.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and manage COSHH regulations to maintain a safe and compliant working environment.
- Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement production strategies that align with business objectives and drive continuous improvement.
- Performance Monitoring: Regularly monitor and evaluate performance metrics to ensure production targets are met and identify areas for improvement.
- Resource Management: Efficiently manage resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to optimise production flow.
- HR Responsibilities: Handle HR duties within the production team, including recruitment, training, performance reviews, and employee relations.
- Health and Safety: Ensure all health and safety policies and procedures are strictly adhered to, promoting a culture of safety within the team.
- Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any production issues promptly, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Requirements:
- Engineering Qualification: A relevant qualification in engineering is essential.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience in production management within a similar environment.
- Driving Licence: A full UK Driving Licence is required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CNC engraving/machining and screen printing is highly desirable.
- Leadership: Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
- Communication: Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
Salary: £45k to £55k (depending on experience)
