Primary School Teacher Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Primary School Teacher to join our team of education professionals at Aspire People. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work within a variety of primary schools in Derby, delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to children across different year groups and subject areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lesson Planning and Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the National Curriculum, ensuring that all students have access to a broad and balanced education.
  • Classroom Management: Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes the academic, social, and emotional development of all students.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their learning and development, tracking progress against learning objectives and targets.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Establish positive relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and other stakeholders, maintaining effective communication and collaboration.
  • Professional Development: Contribute to the wider life of the school community through participation in extracurricular activities, school events, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience: Previous experience teaching within a primary school setting, with a strong understanding of the National Curriculum.
  • Skills: Excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to create a positive and orderly learning environment conducive to learning. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
