Customer Team Leader Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Customer Team Leader to join our team at The Co-operative Group. As a Customer Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading and developing a team of Customer Team Members, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring the smooth operation of the store.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop a team of Customer Team Members to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve sales targets.
  • Provide coaching and training to team members to improve their skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure the store remains safe, legal, and fully operational at all times.
  • Manage stock accuracy and diligence checks to provide a great shopping experience for customers.
  • Support the Store Manager in deputising and delivering HR processes.
  • Lead the introduction of new products and services in the store, working closely with the team to implement change and encourage open and honest feedback.
Requirements:
  • A genuine care for the needs of customers and members.
  • The ability to strike a balance between leading and supporting your team and rolling up your sleeves on the shop floor.
  • Great people skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • A desire to learn, grow, and develop your leadership skills.
  • The flexibility to work a range of different shifts.
