The Day-to-Day

  • Working on rotating shifts, including Monday to Thursday 20:00-06:30 and Tuesday to Friday 20:00-06:30
  • Rotating shifts with a 4-day weekend every two weeks

The Challenge

As a Nightshift HGV Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Routine maintenance and repairs on all vehicles and trailers to DVSA standards
  • Diagnosing and rectifying any faults
  • Working on your own initiative to ensure cost-effective and safe repairs to an extremely high standard
  • Handling vehicles carefully and ensuring all precautions are taken in the workshop or customer premises
  • Ensuring all Health and Safety regulations and the Company's safe systems of work and processes are adhered to at all times
  • Keeping up to date with all relevant DVSA and product developments
  • Being receptive to training and participating in the ongoing development and continuous improvement of the business
  • Supporting and mentoring our apprentices
  • Participating in site security requirements
  • Completing work as directed by the Shift Supervisor, Workshop Foreman, or Dealer Point Manager

What We're Looking For

  • A broad understanding of commercial vehicles
  • Experience in using R2C
  • An HGV and/or forklift truck licence (not essential)
