About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Welding Inspector - Pressure Vessels/Welding QC Engineer to join our team at Northampton Business Directory. As a key member of our quality control team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in our fabrication and welding processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct non-destructive testing and weld inspection to ensure compliance with industry standards
• Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy in fabrication and welding
• Carry out audits to ensure compliance with ISO 3834 and other relevant standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements
• Develop and maintain knowledge of industry standards and regulations, including ASME and CSWIP 3.1
• Assist in the development and implementation of quality control policies and procedures

Requirements

• Good engineering skill set, including apprenticeship, HND, or degree in a relevant field
• Proven experience in quality control and assurance in a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of fabrication and welding processes and techniques
• CSWIP certification and knowledge of PED (Pressure Equipment Directive)
