Electrical Design Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at a reputable manufacturing company in South Manchester. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing bespoke automation machinery, working alongside mechanical design and controls engineers to ensure compliance with UK and international standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical systems for bespoke automation machinery
  • Utilize electrical design software, preferably EPLAN, to create technical documentation
  • Conduct hand calculations for drive systems, electrical loadings, and current ratings
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets customer requirements
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including functional design specifications, bill of materials, and electrical drawings
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience with electrical design software, preferably EPLAN
  • Strong understanding of UK and international electrical standards
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (within the UK and abroad)
