About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic team in Aberdeen. As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting on-premise and cloud infrastructure technologies, ensuring the smooth operation of our global enterprise infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as 3rd line support for Infrastructure related services
  • Prioritise and manage incidents
  • Manage and monitor event and alerts
  • Technical planning and implementation activities for infrastructure related projects
  • Identify and manage problems and perform root cause analysis
  • Document and peer review operational support knowledge
  • Maintain patch and security baselines for Infrastructure related services
  • Design, recommend, plan and implement Infrastructure solutions
  • Act as technical authority for Infrastructure services providing technical governance for change activity
  • Liaise with infrastructure service vendors
Requirements
  • Enterprise infrastructure support experience ideally within an Oil and Gas setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise with individuals up to Senior Leadership level
  • Experience of installing, configuring and supporting infrastructure technologies and products in both virtual and physical environments
  • Transitioning on-premise and legacy systems to Azure
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience across the Azure ecosystem, in particular; Compute, Storage, Networking, Security, Management and Governance
