Join Our Team as a Systems Automation Engineer

We are seeking a talented IT Systems Engineer with a focus on scripting and automation to join our team at Rockstar Games in Edinburgh, Scotland.

About the Role

This is a full-time, permanent position based in our state-of-the-art game development studio. As a Systems Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for automating deployment and maintenance of our IT systems infrastructure, comprising network, servers, storage, and compute.

Key Responsibilities
  • Automate deployment and maintenance of IT systems infrastructure using scripting languages such as Powershell, Python, and Ansible.
  • Manage and deploy Windows and Linux servers using DevOps methodology.
  • Develop and implement configuration management systems using Puppet and Ansible Tower.
  • Collaborate with our development teams to deliver global IT systems infrastructure.
Requirements
  • Strong programming skills in one or more of Powershell, Python, and Ansible.
  • Experience automating IT processes, systems, and deployments.
  • Experience with configuration management systems Puppet and Ansible Tower.
  • Passionate about DevOps methodology and "infrastructure as code".
  • Experience with Runbook automation tools.
  • Windows server installation and administration skills.
  • Linux configuration and administration skills.
  • VMware/Nutanix/Hypervisor installation and administration skills.
  • Experience working with on-prem Kubernetes deployments.
