Store Keyholder

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Retail Store Keyholder at St Peter's Hospice. As a Keyholder, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our store, providing exceptional customer service, and contributing to the success of our charity.

• Store Operations: In the absence of management, you will be responsible for opening and closing the store, ensuring it trades safely and legally, and maintaining a high standard of presentation throughout.
• Sales and Customer Service: You will assist the management team in achieving profit targets by reducing costs and maximizing sales, while providing an exceptional customer experience.
• Teamwork and Support: As part of the overall shop team, you will willingly carry out any tasks necessary to ensure the success and smooth running of the shop, supporting your colleagues and contributing to a positive team environment.
• Stock Management: You will assist the management team in generating and encouraging all stock donations from the public, and help to implement any changes required to ensure optimum sales.
• Values and Culture: You will actively support and demonstrate our values through your role, contributing to a positive and inclusive work environment.

• Excellent Communication and Organizational Skills: You will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer Service Focus: You will have a genuine interest in home wear, furniture, second-hand, and charity retail, with a strong focus on providing exceptional customer service.
• Manual Handling and Adaptability: You will be able to carry out manual handling tasks and be open and adaptable to change, with a ability to support others through it.
• IT Literacy and Numeracy Skills: You will possess strong IT literacy and numeracy skills, with the ability to use email systems and online resources, and understand basic spreadsheets.
• Previous Retail Experience: Previous retail experience would be useful but is not essential.

• Competitive Salary: A competitive salary of £22,955 to £23,541 (FTE) per year, equivalent to £11.74 to £12.04 per hour.
• Flexible Working Hours: Working 7.5 hours per week, 1 in 6 days, including a rotation of Saturdays.
