Lead Protection Engineer - Siemens Energy Limited

Are you an experienced Lead Protection Engineer seeking a rewarding opportunity within the energy sector? Siemens Energy Limited is on the lookout for a Lead Protection Engineer to become a vital part of our Grid Technologies Business Unit. In this position, you will oversee a team of professionals dedicated to the design and implementation of intricate protection systems for transmission operator substations and renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct the creation of innovative solutions utilizing advanced technology
  • Develop protection and control schematics for systems up to 400kV
  • Evaluate protection and control designs for a variety of equipment
  • Generate comprehensive documentation for both new and existing systems
  • Facilitate design reviews and conduct risk assessments
  • Assist in testing phases and support commissioning activities
  • Guide and mentor junior engineers
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline
  • Significant experience in control and protection engineering
  • Familiarity with grid connection standards and technologies
  • Proficient understanding of communication systems and protocols
  • Fluency in English
  • Excellent teamwork abilities and a strong customer-oriented approach
