Role Overview
We are seeking a Regional Operations Manager to oversee a portfolio of independent retirement living facilities, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality, cost-efficient management service alongside exceptional customer care that surpasses expectations and meets profitability targets.
Your responsibilities will include conducting regular site visits within your designated area, fostering relationships with external landlords and residents while supporting your team of Facility Managers.
Additional responsibilities encompass managing budgets, controlling expenses, preparing financial reports for lessees, negotiating with service providers, and monitoring their performance.
You will promote the professional growth of your team by encouraging both individual and collective development, conducting regular performance evaluations, leading recruitment efforts, and assisting team members in understanding the company's values and the expected service standards to maintain a consistently high level of quality.
This position is primarily home-based with significant travel required across the designated region.
The working hours are 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday to Thursday, and 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM on Fridays.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess proven leadership experience, demonstrating confidence, approachability, and excellent communication skills, with a passion for working with numerical data.
You should be self-driven, capable of managing conflicts, solving problems, and building relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Furthermore, you will be highly organized, adaptable, able to juggle multiple tasks, and willing to embrace new challenges.
Proficiency in IT, particularly with MS Office applications, is essential. A solid understanding of leasehold property management and building structures is advantageous for addressing any property issues and coordinating contractors as needed. Ideally, you will hold a recognized property management qualification and have relevant experience in the property management sector.
A full UK Driving Licence is required for this role.
