We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate midwife to fill the position of Antenatal and Newborn Screening Midwife Coordinator at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Main Responsibilities- Contribute to the development and implementation of antenatal and newborn screening programs, ensuring they align with national standards and guidelines.
- Support women, families, and staff involved in the delivery of screening pathways, actively participating in audit and governance of the service.
- Contribute to and create reports for national program data collection, responding to trends, clusters, identified training needs, and adapting the service in line with national recommendations.
- Provide information and choices to women and families with compassion, respect, dignity, and with a dedication to informed choice, using exemplar communication skills, mindful of barriers, challenges, and the emotive nature of the service.

- Degree level qualification or equivalent study and experience.
- MIP or equivalent teaching/screening course.
- Hbo screening qualification or willingness to access relevant study.
- Supervisor of Midwives.
- Studies at Masters level.
- Demonstrable experience of clinical audit.
- Excellent IT skills - excel, power point, and word.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practice and clinical governance.
- Minimum of 3 years current post-registration experience as a midwife.
