About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Barchester Healthcare as a Deputy General Manager - Clinical Lead. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our residents. Working closely with the General Manager, you will take on leadership duties in their absence and be responsible for motivating and inspiring a multidisciplinary team to achieve exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead by example and monitor standards through regular audits, supervised clinical practice, and regulatory compliance checks.
  • Develop and deliver strategies to improve care standards and achieve business objectives.
  • Support the General Manager in the management of the care home, including budget management and HR functions.
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure the delivery of high-quality care to residents with different health needs.
  • Conduct safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments, and implement effective solutions.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a Registered Nurse (RN/RMN) with current NMC registration and a teaching/mentoring/supervision qualification. You will also need to have experience in managing safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments, as well as a strong track record of supporting newly qualified nurses through preceptorship. Additionally, you will be compassionate, resilient, and determined to deliver quality care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
