About the Role:

Fawkes & Reece is seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Manager to join our team. As a Senior Technical Manager, you will be responsible for the technical aspects of our residential-led mixed-use development in London, consisting of 350 units with a build value of up to £110 million.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate the technical team to ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the agreed quality standards.
  • Oversee the quality management system and ensure compliance with company procedures.
  • Promote health, safety, and environmental issues in line with company policy.
  • Control the quality of drawn information and address any non-conformance issues.
  • Produce design reports to monitor progress and report current position against the agreed design programme.
  • Mentor trainees and oversee Technical Coordinators on one or more projects.
  • Manage and coordinate the design team on challenging sites.
  • Effective people management of direct reports, including giving feedback, direction, support, and coaching.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of building regulations and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.
  • Assertiveness, decisiveness, flexibility, good time management, and organizational skills.
