Role Responsibilities
As the selected candidate for this position, you will serve as the bridge between our committed players and the development team, ensuring that player insights are acknowledged and integrated into our processes. Your responsibilities will encompass engaging with players across various platforms, coordinating events, producing engaging content for newsletters and social media, and evaluating community feedback to drive enhancements. The ideal Director of Community Engagement possesses a deep understanding of gaming communities, excels in clear communication, can navigate online challenges, enhances player participation, and cultivates an inclusive atmosphere.
This is a full-time role based in our innovative facility, offering a combination of remote and in-office work. We are prepared to assist with relocation if necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Leverage your extensive knowledge of gaming communities to comprehend player preferences and concerns, advocating for their interests in the development cycle.
- Utilize exceptional written and verbal communication skills to connect with players through newsletters, social media, and other channels.
- Design and execute strategic initiatives for community involvement, including event organization and content oversight.
- Employ analytical tools to track community engagement metrics and refine strategies accordingly.
- Demonstrate a strong enthusiasm for gaming and remain informed about industry developments.
- Guide and mentor a team of community specialists, ensuring they achieve their objectives.
Qualifications
- At least 5+ years of experience in communications or community roles within the gaming or entertainment industry.
- A minimum of 3+ years leading community teams for prominent brands or entertainment franchises.
- Proven experience in managing extensive community programs, including partnerships with influencers and content creators.
- Strong proficiency in written and verbal communication, with experience managing content across diverse platforms.
- Experience collaborating with internal teams, external partners, and influencers to meet shared goals.
- In-depth knowledge of gaming culture, industry trends, and popular titles.
- Exceptional copywriting skills with the ability to maintain a consistent brand voice.
Preferred Skills
- Advanced degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Experience representing games to the community in front of the camera.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as required.
