The Courier Manager will oversee all third-party carriers and related contracts, including generating regular compliance and service level reports, ensuring timely claims submissions, and exploring new service options across the UK and Europe.

Role Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with teams to advise on and manage operational changes and processes for new carriers and services.
  • Manage contracts and ensure compliance for both existing and new carriers.
  • Prepare for and participate in regular business reviews, including MBRs and QBRs.
  • Generate carrier SLA and compliance reports.
  • Oversee the submission and management of carrier claims and service level penalties.
  • Approve all carrier invoices and investigate surcharges.
  • Evaluate carrier routing options to enhance service and reduce costs.
  • Develop and maintain a suite of reports and analyses to provide insights into carrier performance and opportunities.
  • Assess efficiency across UK and European networks to identify service improvement opportunities and reduce operating costs.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams, especially the Customer Contact team, to understand and act on customer feedback, enhancing the overall customer experience.

About You

Skills and Competencies

  • Demonstrated experience in an operational role within a courier management position, particularly in a fast-paced logistics environment.
  • Understanding of large-scale B2C parcel networks.
  • Ability to make data-driven decisions that directly impact customer experience.
  • Strong analytical skills with a passion for data manipulation and visualization to identify trends and actionable insights.
  • Problem-solving aptitude, comfortable navigating ambiguous and dynamic challenges.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills, with a proven track record of delivering cross-functional projects involving various stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation abilities.
