Job Title: Behaviour and Learning Support Assistant

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated Behaviour and Learning Support Assistant to join our team in Redruth. As a Behaviour and Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with behavioural and learning challenges in a primary school setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist teachers in implementing behaviour management strategies to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students with behavioural and learning challenges, promoting their overall well-being and academic success.
  • Collaborate with the school's SENCO and other professionals to develop tailored intervention plans that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Contribute to a positive school ethos by supporting the overall well-being of students and promoting a culture of inclusivity and respect.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
  • Understanding of behaviour management strategies and their application in a school environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient and empathetic approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or psychology would be advantageous.
