As a Residential Children's Home Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our children's homes, ensuring the highest standards of care and support for our young residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the care, safety, and development of all residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological needs are met.
- Manage the staff and resources of the home, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
- Monitor and review the work practices of all staff, ensuring they are adhering to best practice and regulatory requirements.
- Attend training opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with the latest developments in the care sector.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the home is run efficiently and effectively.
- Collaborate with external agencies, such as social workers and other professionals, to ensure the best possible outcomes for our residents.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure the home is meeting regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Requirements:
- Experience of working in a residential care setting, preferably with children with emotional and behavioral difficulties.
- Knowledge of childcare standards and best practice models, with the ability to translate policy into practice.
- Management training and experience, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Child-related or social care qualifications, such as a diploma or degree in a relevant field.
- Up-to-date knowledge of childcare and child protection laws, including Ofsted requirements.
- A satisfactory DBS check and the ability to evidence Ofsted inspections.

- A competitive salary of up to £55,000 per annum, including bonuses dependent on experience.
