The successful candidate will be based in a picturesque location near Monmouth and will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of 12-15 employees, with 2 direct reports.

The Quarry Manager will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the quarry, maintaining production levels to schedule, and overseeing major extraction activities. Additionally, they will manage third-party contractors, company operatives, and road hauliers to ensure supply to internal and external customers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quarry management, with experience in budget management, cost control, and quality assurance. They will also have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to promote a culture of high health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of 12-15 employees, with 2 direct reports
  • Ensure safe and efficient operation of the quarry
  • Oversee major extraction activities
  • Manage third-party contractors, company operatives, and road hauliers
  • Budget management and cost control
  • Quality assurance and environmental systems management
  • Project management of defined capex projects

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Recognised qualification in geological or quarry management
  • Experience of being appointed under Regulation c) of the Quarry Regulations
  • EHS/HSE Level 4 (training provided to reach level 6)
  • Demonstrable quarry supervisory experience
