We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Nicholas Associates Construction. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the commercial performance of our large-scale residential groundworks projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and control project costs, ensuring accurate and timely monthly applications for payment.
- Monitor project expenditures, track costs, and prepare comprehensive cost reports in line with valuation processes.
- Collaborate with the production team to compile monthly forecasts, ensuring the successful commercial performance of the project.
- Procure subcontractor and supplier packages, negotiate contracts, and manage subcontractor accounts.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, quality, and compliance with contractual requirements.
- Ensure the project team has access to the latest information, including drawings and details of tender allowances.
- Maintain organized project records, including contracts, invoices, and correspondence.
- Mentor and support junior quantity surveyors or team members as required.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with clients.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in residential or groundworks projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor.
- Proficiency in construction software.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage large projects, and meet deadlines.
- Professional accreditation as a Quantity Surveyor (MRICS, MCIOB, or equivalent) is preferred.
