Project Overview

We are seeking an experienced Suspension System Specialist, responsible for overseeing projects from inception through completion at R53 Suspension.

Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical expertise as well as project management skills.

Technical Responsibilities:

* Conceptualize new damper designs suitable for production

* Conduct R&D activities

* Design suspension/damper components using CREO/Solidworks/CATIA or similar 3D CAD systems

* Coordinate prototype build activities

* Operate damper dyno for R&D purposes

* Develop fixtures/tooling/rig designs

* Produce technical manuals

* Maintain bill-of-materials (BOM)

Project Management Responsibilities:

* Provide technical oversight throughout project lifecycles

* Manage projects from start-to-finish

* Lead cross-functional teams

* Identify risks

* Interact effectively with clients/suppliers

* Foster continuous improvement

* Demonstrate ownership/responsibility

Requirements:

* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

* Proficiency in CREO/Solidworks/CATIA or similar 3D CAD systems

* Familiarity with Excel-based data analysis

* Ability to utilize CAD-based FEA/Kinematics tools

* Strong technical proficiency

* Effective project management skills

* Adaptability

* Ownership/responsibility

* Problem-solving skills

* Familiarity with fluid dynamics/electro-hydraulic systems (desired but not required)

* Experience designing dampers (desired but not required)

* Excellent communication skills

* High attention-to-detail

* Passion for motorsport
