Senior Accountant

JAC Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our client, a leading Japanese Major Trading House. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the accounting-related services for the group entities located in the UK, Germany, and New York offices.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the accounting team to prepare monthly management accounts, annual statutory accounts, and reports according to regulation-related compliance requirements.
- Responsible for daily bank suspense account clearing, daily reconciliations for interfaces from sales systems to the General Ledger, and post accounting double entries in the SAP system.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and the group consolidation reporting package in accordance with IFRS.
- Intercompany reconciliation, prepare statutory financial statements, and consider accounting treatment regarding new business.
- Accounting process improvement and active involvement in the planned future split of the Gas and Power business into a separate company.
- Certified accountant in any country (e.g., ACCA/AC in the UK, US CPA, etc.).
- Advanced bookkeeping skills, advanced Microsoft Excel skills, and excellent organisational & analytical skills.
- Good communication skills (written and verbal), time management skills, and effective problem solver.
- Ability to research and interpret IFRS regulations independently and basic knowledge of direct and indirect tax.
- English (Business level) and at least 3 years of accounting experience in a company.
