Cloud Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cloud Engineer to join our team at Nexus Partnership. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the setup and maintenance of a managed Kubernetes platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the setup and maintenance of a managed Kubernetes platform based on Gardener and OpenStack.
  • Ensure the platform's reliability, scalability, and security.
  • Manage and maintain the surrounding system landscape, including compute, networking, storage, and APIs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate and optimize system components.
  • Automate technical processes to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  • Continuously optimize existing processes to improve overall system performance.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in managing Kubernetes platforms, knowledge of developing, deploying and running Kubernetes applications.
  • Strong proficiency in Linux and OpenStack.
  • Solid programming experience, preferably in Go.
  • Hands-on experience in templating, infrastructure as code technologies (Terraform), and CI/CD tools, and software defined networking.
  • Expertise in automating technical processes and optimizing system performance.
  • Solid understanding of compute, networking, and storage technologies.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Experience in designing and implementing scaling solutions for cloud-based platforms.
