Job Title: DT Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled DT Technician to join our team at a secondary school in North West London. As a DT Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support to pupils and staff, preparing materials and equipment for lessons, and maintaining a clean and organized workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare materials and equipment for lessons and projects, including preparation of demonstration materials and resources.
• Ensure all students' work and unused material is returned to the appropriate storage area.
• Maintain a clean and organized workshop environment, including the kitchen and storage areas.
• Assist departmental staff in developing appropriate resources for teaching and learning, including preparation for exams.
• Demonstrate methods and techniques to students during lessons, as requested by the appropriate member of staff and under their direction.
• Support exhibitions and the curating of work for GCSE and A Level.
• Provide technical assistance to pupils during lessons and private study sessions.
• Be responsible for DT departmental displays and the preparation, mounting, and installation of work around the school.
• Support GCSE and A Level students with their coursework outside lesson times.
