We are seeking an experienced Audit Director to join our Public Sector Audit team at Grant Thornton UK LLP. As an Audit Director, you will be responsible for leading a large portfolio of audit clients and overseeing the work of your team to ensure high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a large portfolio of public sector audit clients, including local government and NHS organizations
  • Solve complex technical matters for clients and project manage client work
  • Develop and lead a high-performing team to deliver exceptional audit results
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities for business growth and development
Requirements
  • Professional qualification (ACA, ICAS, CA, ACCA or CIPFA) with post-qualification experience
  • Experience of managing audits of public sector bodies and dealing with complex technical matters
  • Excellent knowledge of the CIPFA Code and Department of Health Group Accounting Manual
  • Project management experience and ability to lead a team
  • Extensive experience of using audit software and Microsoft packages
