Beekeeper

We are seeking a skilled Beekeeper to join our team at THE PIG Hotels. As a Beekeeper, you will be responsible for managing our honey production colonies, ensuring the health and well-being of our bees, and producing high-quality honey.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and maintain our honey production colonies at our Head Office and occasionally at our hotels.
- Produce new colonies (nucs) and manoeuvre them on crops.
- Extract and bottle honey every 3-4 weeks during the bee season.
- Build frames and transport hives between our sites across the Southwest.
- Conduct regular hive inspections and maintain accurate records.
- Maintain the apiary and perform occasional collections and deliveries.
- Candle making during the winter months.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Excellent knowledge of bee health and honey production.
- Experience in beekeeping and apiary management.
- Physical ability to manoeuvre heavy equipment and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and a can-do attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
