Senior Commercial Estimator

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Commercial Estimator to join our UK Infrastructure business, working within our specialist Cost & Supply Chain Assurance team. As a Senior Commercial Estimator, you will play a key role in reviewing and scrutinising actual incurred costs, driving supply chain improvement and efficiency for major programmes and projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the refinement of internal training and product management in relation to the service line.
  • Review construction contractor systems, controls and processes to provide a view on their ways of working, using industry intelligence to build a view on best practice.
  • Perform analysis and understanding of complex construction contracts (NEC3/4/ICE Bespoke).
  • Use data visualisation and trend/pattern analysis tools such as PowerBi/Tableau to test data and information.
  • Foster good quality working relationships with clients and those being reviewed built around trust and professionalism.
  • Engage with the supply chain to take them on the journey of assurance and encourage collaboration at project/programme level.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience or a sound understanding of assurance or audit in a construction, commercial or accountancy setting.
  • Contract Management experience, preferably with NEC3/4 (Option C, E).
  • Data analysis skills, with the ability to review and draw insights from large quantities of data in various formats.
  • Report writing skills, with the ability to communicate complex messages succinctly to maximise impact in written formats.
  • Professional scepticism, with the ability to challenge in a professional and constructive way to safeguard the completion of our services, maintaining independence and integrity, ensuring consistent quality.
