Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Assistant Chef to join our culinary team at Trevern. As an Assistant Chef, you will play a vital role in preparing high-quality meals for our residents, while promoting and maintaining excellent food hygiene and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Chef Manager in preparing a varied and nutritious menu for our residents
  • Monitor and maintain food hygiene and safety standards, ensuring a clean and safe kitchen environment
  • Carry out risk assessments and implement measures to prevent accidents and injuries
  • Work collaboratively with the culinary team to ensure efficient and effective food preparation and service
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents, visitors, and colleagues

Requirements

  • Experience of working in a catering environment, preferably in a care setting
  • Valid food hygiene certificate
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances
