About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Health Care Support Worker to join our team at Gainsborough Urgent Treatment Centre. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct physiological observations on patients of all ages
  • Apply plaster of paris and backslabs as required
  • Perform bladder scanning and venepuncture procedures
  • Provide wound closure and care, including wound dressing and debridement
  • Monitor ECG readings and provide basic life support as needed

Person Specification

  • Basic General Secondary Education
  • NVQ 3 or equivalent relevant experience
  • Specific relevant clinical skills, including venepuncture and plaster application
  • Recent Urgent Care experience
  • NEWS and POPS knowledge

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Wound care skills
  • Urinary catheter and bladder scanning competencies
  • ECG recording
