Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Planning Specialist to join our team at MBDA UK Ltd. As a key member of our planning and control team, you will be responsible for the management and coordination of all planning-related activities to deliver the Manufacturing Planning Schedule (MPS) to time, cost, and quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and execute all activities related to the planning and procurement of materials, ensuring timely and adequate supply of materials for manufacturing.
  • Work closely with the planning and control team to prepare and maintain the MPS in response to customer demand, considering materials, capacity, and inventory targets.
  • Ensure efficient and effective material inventories in line with inventory targets, minimizing excess waste and costs.
  • Escalate risks related to supplied parts and achievement of the MPS within the sales and operations process.
  • Collaborate with Goods Receiving, Stores, and Despatch (Logistic Services) to manage inventory levels, resolve queries, maintain MRP system accuracy, and ensure required paperwork is submitted for stores and despatch-related transactions.
  • Maintain the manufacturing bill of materials and manufacturing strategy by ensuring master data is up-to-date.
  • Support the achievement of schedule adherence, inventory, and delivery KPIs through the execution of the planning process.
Requirements:
  • Relevant experience in manufacturing planning, supply chain management, or a related position.
  • Experience of SAP beneficial.
  • Good planning and organizing skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
