About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Conveyancing Legal Secretary to provide comprehensive administrative support to our legal team at Reed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the Fee Earner's Diary: Ensure timely preparation of files for billing and maintain accurate records.
  • Client Communications: Handle incoming calls and client inquiries with sensitivity and professionalism, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Administrative Tasks: Undertake typing of correspondence, photocopying, filing, sending faxes, and opening new files with precision and efficiency.
  • Mail and Email Management: Sort and prioritize mail, emails, and messages, ensuring timely responses and action.
  • Client Support: Provide support across all areas of work, dealing with client matters appropriately and maintaining high standards.
  • Document Preparation: Prepare straightforward legal documents with accuracy and attention to detail, upholding the standards set by LEXCEL & Investors in People.
  • Financial Acumen: Familiarize yourself with the Solicitors Accounts Rules, particularly those affecting the handling of client funds.
Requirements
  • Proven Experience: Proven experience in a legal support role, preferably within conveyancing.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards of work.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide a professional service to clients.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in legal case management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Financial Knowledge: Understanding of the Solicitors Accounts Rules and their practical implications.
