Job Summary:

CBW Staffing Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced gas engineer to join our team on a mobile basis. As a Multiskilled Commercial Gas Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance and repair tasks, including fabric and basic electrical work, in commercial buildings across the Dundee, Aberdeen, Inverness, and Perth region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance and complete relevant paperwork and reports.
  • Carry out reactive and planned commercial maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct maintenance and repair work, including fabric and basic electrical tasks, in commercial buildings as required under contract.
  • Ensure all statutory and mandatory tasks are completed within the required timescales.
  • Verify that all certification is correctly completed and remedial works are clearly identified.
  • Respond to reactive and emergency tasks and utilize handheld technology effectively to complete tasks.
  • Participate in an on-call rota to provide clients with full out-of-hours cover and assist other team members when required or as directed by a Supervisor or Contract Manager.
  • Ensure all required paperwork is completed and submitted within timescales.
  • Monitor visiting sub-contractors regarding the standard of work and Health and Safety, and issue appropriate Permits, controlling small works and escort duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Hold a City & Guilds Level II/III or equivalent qualification in relevant disciplines.
  • Hold Commercial Gas Safe qualifications, COCN1/CODNCO1 minimum.
  • Have good commercial gas maintenance knowledge.
  • Hold 18th Edition (desirable) and F-Gas (desirable) qualifications.
  • Have extensive experience working in commercial environments.
  • Have experience in maintenance, testing, and fault-finding on various equipment, including boiler plant, ventilation, pumps, generators, switchgear, cables, batteries, small power, and lighting (where applicable).
  • Have knowledge of Health & Safety and safe working practices.
