About the Role

You will collaborate closely with the Real Estate VAT Director and Partner to provide expert guidance to clients across a range of property and construction matters. From advising investors on acquisitions to training finance and commercial teams at housebuilding companies, each day presents new challenges. Responsibilities:

  • Manage client relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for VAT issues and inquiries.
  • Deliver practical and commercially sound VAT advice to clients on land and property transactions.
  • Collaborate with Real Estate tax specialists to provide VAT expertise on tax structuring and due diligence projects.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members through task delegation and on-the-job guidance.
  • Support business development initiatives, including preparing proposals for new projects and cultivating relationships with clients and potential partners.

About the Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate should possess previous experience at the Manager or Associate Director level in VAT, with a proven track record of winning work and expanding the existing client base. You should be adept at guiding junior staff members and fostering a positive team environment. Key qualifications and skills include:

  • CTA qualified or equivalent
  • Prior experience at the Associate Director level (or equivalent)
  • In-depth understanding of VAT issues within the Real Estate and Construction sector
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a national team
  • Proven expertise in client management and relationship building
  • Strong coaching abilities and commitment to inclusive people development
  • Interest in business development is a plus
