We are seeking a part-time Janitor/Caretaker for one of our partner schools in the Bexley area.

Hours of work are 6:30am - 12:30pm, Monday to Friday (20 hours per week).

The Janitor/Caretaker is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment for students, staff, and visitors.

The ideal candidate will be diligent, reliable, and have a strong attention to detail.

This role is crucial to ensuring the school facilities are in optimal condition and meet health and safety standards.

Main Responsibilities:

• Perform routine cleaning tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces in classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners; ensure proper disposal of waste.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms, replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
• Wash windows, walls, and fixtures as needed.
• Ensure all doors and windows are locked and secure after hours.
• Identify and report maintenance or repair needs to the Facilities Manager.
• Respond promptly to emergency cleaning requests or situations.
• Maintain school grounds, including sweeping sidewalks, removing debris, and ensuring safe walkways.
• Assist with seasonal tasks, such as snow removal, leaf raking, and lawn care.

Work Environment:

This is a part-time position with no remote work options.
