Our client, a leading business in the Construction & Manufacturing industry, is seeking a qualified and experienced accountant to join their team as a Financial Controller/Company Accountant. The successful candidate will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and be responsible for the production of financial accounts/reports, as well as ensuring the finance systems and processes are robust and scalable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation of financial accounts/reports, including production of monthly management accounts and regular group reports
  • Ensuring finance systems and processes are robust and scalable
  • Working with site teams and the shared service department to review and understand monthly costs
  • Reconciling key balance sheet accounts
  • Preparation of year-end accounts and group consolidation (IFRS)
  • Compliance activities: audit, tax and statutory returns
  • Providing technical accounting guidance where needed
  • Supporting the Chief Financial Officer in preparation of plans/forecasts
About You

We are looking for a qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or someone in late stages of qualification, with manufacturing or production accounting experience. Experience of Peoplesoft or Coins accounting packages and construction/engineering experience would be an advantage.
