Field Service Engineer Opportunity

A leading chemical manufacturer is seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join their team on a permanent, full-time contract. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation and commissioning of company equipment across multiple UK locations, providing technical support to colleagues, and managing projects from scoping phase to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project manage the installation and commissioning of company equipment, ensuring alignment with the company's vision, purpose, and values.
  • Ensure strict adherence to Health & Safety protocols at all times, completing site-specific risk assessments and method statements before commencing any on-site operations.
  • Identify gaps in training or knowledge required for task completion and inform the Engineering Manager accordingly.
  • Prepare project scopes and estimates for equipment installation, ensuring the availability of necessary materials and coordinating site staff to keep them informed of schedules.
  • Oversee the installation of all company equipment, including mechanical and electrical aspects, and ensure that completed installations can be adequately serviced, considering site conditions.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a similar installation or commissioning role.
  • Project management skills and technical proficiency within the industry.
  • Ability to travel UK-wide with overnight stays where necessary.
  • Background in chemistry and understanding of laundry equipment/chemical dosing systems (desirable but not essential).
