Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Reconciliation Specialist to join our Financial Control & Reconciliation CoE team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and integrity in financial records. Your primary focus will be on handling payments, receipts, distributions, and resolving discrepancies to support reliable financial reporting and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations, match entries, and update banking journals.
  • Reconcile Control Accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Reconcile financial reports to the ledger and address any differences.
  • Conduct daily systems checks and ensure trial balances are accurate.
  • Support monthly and year-end ledger close processes.
  • Prepare and input manual journals as needed.
  • Investigate and report operational losses accurately.
  • Handle tax reconciliations and ensure timely payments to HMRC.
  • Manage reassurance reports, calculate premiums, and ensure correct claims settlements.
  • Ensure all reconciliations meet client standards and control frameworks.
  • Monitor reconciliations for compliance with Effective Level of Control (ELOC).
  • Adhere to Consumer Duty regulations.
Requirements
  • Strong experience in bank reconciliation.
  • 2+ years in finance roles within financial services.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and time management.
  • Knowledge of Life & Pensions processes and regulations.
