Science Teacher Opportunity

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Science Teacher to join our client schools in Gateshead. As an experienced educator, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality science education to students, designing engaging lessons that promote a deep understanding of scientific principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive science lessons, ensuring students are well-prepared for assessments and future academic challenges.
  • Utilise differentiated teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities, providing each student with the opportunity to excel.
  • Emphasise real-world applications of scientific principles, incorporating hands-on experiments and cutting-edge resources to make science relevant and captivating for students.
  • Regularly assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to analyse assessment data and refine teaching practices.
  • Create a positive and encouraging classroom environment that fosters a love for scientific inquiry, promoting respectful behaviour among students.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Specialise in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a relevant field.
  • Proven experience in teaching science at school level is preferred.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for science education.
  • Familiarity with and commitment to the principles of the school's curriculum.
