Key Responsibilities

- Provide guidance to patients visiting the Pharmacy on the safe and effective use of their medications, including potential side effects they may encounter during their treatment.

- Utilize the Pharmacy inventory management system and other technological tools across all Pharmacy operations. Demonstrate proficiency in the use of the Robotic Dispensing system, where applicable, with the capability to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues as necessary.

- Offer practical support and advice to team members regarding the management of monthly Controlled Drug stock assessments, ensuring adherence to correct procedures and maintaining a clear audit trail.

- Participate in Quality Improvement initiatives, conduct dispensary audits, including planning, communication, data input, analysis, and report generation.

- Process prescriptions from patients and staff, including the collection of payment for prescription charges.

Candidate Profile

Experience

Essential

  • Proficiency in using the Cerner Millennium Electronic Prescribing System.
  • Candidates with experience in Community Pharmacy may also be considered.

Qualifications

  • Valid GPhC Registration.
  • ACT Checking skills/experience are Highly Desirable.
