Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Starfyn Education. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs.

About the Role:

This is a long-term, full-time position, working Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:00pm. You will be working in a fast-paced, supportive environment, helping students to build towards gaining qualifications and necessary skill-sets to lead fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support students with their understanding and participation in tasks
  • Aid students with their love of learning
  • Participate in team meetings and follow safeguarding regulations
  • Support individual needs, including medical and personal care tasks, and physical support where needed
  • Work on a 1:1 or group basis to support learning
Requirements:

We are looking for candidates with previous experience working in a similar school, college, or provision. However, we will also consider candidates with youth work experience, mental health support work experience, social work experience or qualifications, or psychology degrees. Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualifications or above are preferred but not necessary.

What We Offer:

As an agency worker, you will be paid £95 to £100 per day PAYE, depending on your experience. You will also receive training in giving medical care and support.

Please note that you will not be paid during school holidays.
